Since launching in March, over 70 organisations have signed-up to the charter and shown their support for a more cycle-friendly city – including most of the leading Winchester institutions and a wide selection of high street names.
And we now have over 500 individual supporters.
Thank you for backing this initiative to build consensus around a two (and three)-wheeled future!
We hope it’s only the beginning …
There is a lot of debate at the moment around cycling and active travel measures and it’s vital we show the strength of feeling in support of positive action.
I’ve signed the charter. What else can I do to help?
Here are a few suggestions …
- Encourage your partner, neighbour or friend to sign too – every cyclist counts!
- Display a poster in your window, garden or premises – if you email your address to hello@cyclewinchester.org.uk we can drop round an un/laminated A4 version (and cable tie fixings if required).
- If you work in and around Winchester maybe suggest to your employer that they sign up to the charter too – it only takes about two minutes and can be an easy way for them to show support for a sustainable future.
