If you choose to sign-up to our email list, or to become a member of Cycle Winchester, our website will invite you to enter your name, postcode and email address.
We collect names and email addresses to allow us to communicate with you for the purpose of updating you on our activities, or, in the case you become a member, to confirm your membership, issue invoices, payment reminders, or notices of General Meetings. We request your postcode to help us assess the range and geographical distribution of our supporters. You don’t have to provide that information, and if you do, we won’t publish it or share it with anyone.
If you choose to become a paid member, or to make a one-time donation, you will be invited to provide card payment details. Please note that we use secure payment providers, PayPal and Stripe, to collect your details, ensuring that your secure details never touch Cycle Winchester’s servers. By using this method, we comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. The last 4 digits of your credit card number and the expiration date are saved by our site to use for reference and to send you an email if your credit card will expire before the next recurring payment.
We will store your private information securely in ‘cloud’ storage, where it can only be accessed by a very small number of our team, and only after providing a robust individual password.
If you would like us to remove your information from our systems, please contact us via the email address above, and we will remove your information promptly.
