Cycle Winchester loves bike buses

A shared ride to a destination like a school with stops to collect riders along the way, bike buses bring more experienced and less confident, newer or younger riders together to make riding a safe, fun and inclusive experience.

Starting a bike bus is easy. We’ve set up this page on our website to share what we’ve learned.

What is Bike Bus?

Bike Bus is a people- and pedal-powered movement of safely getting children to school by bike. We expect parents to ride with their children on the bike bus.

To cycle together safely, we follow some simple but important rules:

  1. Listen and follow the instructions from the marshals.
  2. We cycle together considerately between the lead rider and the back rider.
  3. Children ride on the left side of their responsible adult.
  4. Have fun!
