Can we beat 2025’s record attendance of 630?

We are planning for a bigger and better mass ride on April 25th 2026. Our ninth, can you believe it?

Don’t miss the chance to be part of the largest gathering of ordinary cyclists on the streets of Winchester, in a celebration of cycling! Everyone is welcome to join our family-friendly ride. The more diverse our riders, bikes, ages and outfits the better! All you need is a working bike that you can competently steer, brake and pedal the length of of your chosen route at a slow-medium pace. The ride will take place on open roads, but there will be experienced cyclists marshalling the group for safety.

Save the date: Saturday 25th April 2026, from around 10:00.

Expect all the regular start locations and feeder ride routes, starting around 10:00 from Kings Worthy, Harestock, Highcliffe, Oliver’s Battery (09:45), Badger Farm, Colden Common (time TBC), Twyford (time TBC).

Plus, an additional, mostly traffic-free route with a lower average speed that will be especially suitable for tiny cyclists! Starting in Kings Barton (time TBC) and following Cycle Winchester’s concept of The Barton Line… a cycle-friendly route from Kings Barton and Abbots Barton to the centre of the city. Exciting!

All routes converge on the one way system at around 10:30 for a celebratory lap of the city, arriving at Abbey Gardens at around 11:00, where there will be fun mini cyclefest until around 12:30.

We are always looking for helpers: experienced cyclists who can help marshal a ride, and non-riding marshals who can help with our legal temporary road blocks. Get in touch if you can help.

More details will emerge shortly.
