The wait is over! Join us on Mass Ride 5

It’s almost two years since our last Cycle Winchester Mass Ride. In the meantime, the quieter roads of lockdown tempted record numbers of people onto cycles.

On the morning of Saturday 16th October Cycle Winchester invites you to join us on our 5th Mass Ride, bringing riders from pick-up points around the city to converge on the central one-way system for a processional lap, finishing at The Broadway.

Rides will depart at 10am from Kings Worthy, Harestock, Badger Farm and Highcliffe. Each ride will briefly stop at a second pick-up location, then proceed to King Alfred’s statue for a grand procession around the city centre. Full details of times, start locations and routes can be found on the ride details page here.

Those who wish will continue from The Broadway to the offices of Hampshire County Council, where we will proclaim the Winchester Cycling Charter and highlight the hundreds of organisations and individuals who have so far signed.

Sadly, due to the ongoing risk of Covid infection, we will not host a gathering in Abbey Garden on this occasion.

Please help us to make this the biggest and best Mass Ride yet!

  1. It was a lovely morning for the 5th Mass Ride, and good to see so many confident and competent youngsters out. Roll on the next one.
